About Dr. Kim
Originally from California, Dr. Kim has lived in the DC/Baltimore region since 1999. As an undergraduate, he majored in biology at Johns Hopkins University. He later attended the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, studying public health in the Reproductive Biology department.
He received his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, and spent a year interning at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He returned to Georgetown University Hospital for his anesthesiology residency, and has practiced as a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist in the Department of Anesthesiology at Georgetown Hospital. He is licensed to practice medicine in DC and VA.
Dr. Kim is the head of the anesthesia medical simulation program at Georgetown. He teaches medical students, residents, and fellow attending physicians in airway management and moderate sedation. He has extensive experience with ketamine as a sedative, induction agent, analgesic, and adjunct for pain management.
Dr. Kim enjoys traveling with his wife and Bernese mountain dog, Mufasa.
